FAQ

Staff augmentation allows an organisation to add additional staff to their teams and bridge the skills gaps required to achieve their aims. Resources are employed by the staff augmentation company and provided on a long term or project by project basis.
IT Staff augmentation is an outsourced staffing model that aims to quickly provide a specialist team for a project according to the anticipated requirements. Staff Augmentation is used by IT Managers and Tech Leaders globally to accelerate the hiring process and help their companies grow faster.

It saves you money. Hiring full-time employees for the purpose of working on a specific project costs more time, money, and effort than necessary.

It gives you more control. Compared to completely outsourcing a project or using a managed service solution, your augmented team will fit in seamlessly with your in-house team.

It allows you to scale your business faster. Without the time and expense of recruiting and training more in-house staff, you can achieve your objectives quicker and scale up sooner.

It solves your skills gap issues. Finding the talent that’s missing from your team is a time consuming activity, and the resources you need simply may not be available in your location. A staff augmentation provider will find the resources for you.

Halexo provides a wide range of IT staffing from junior to senior engineers, service desk staff and consultants, which are listed on our Resources page. We also provide an IT automation service which replaces repetitive manual tasks with an automated solution – further saving time in your IT operations.

We usually provide you with a selection of profiles for suitable candidates within 1-2 weeks, based on common skill sets. Resources with a complex or highly specialized skill set may take up to 4 weeks.
The notice period a resource is required to give to their current employer depends on their role. For a Junior Engineer this will usually be 1 month, and for some of the senior positions it may be up to 3 months. However, we always try to negotiate with the candidates for an early exit, or will opt to pay in lieu of notice for the candidates so they can join your team earlier. We do not transfer that cost to the client.
Yes, we can arrange this after discussing with both parties.
We provide technical training, soft skill training and a technical forum for all team members. We don’t provide certifications, but if there are any specific training programs the clients wishes their team members to complete, we can facilitate the process (with costs covered by the client).
Selection of resources is done by the client directly, after interviewing the candidates. If however you would like to replace any resources after they begin, we will source and provide an alternative selection of profiles as above.
We require that you give a 30 day notice period.
Yes. However, the client has the option to offer a different date in lieu of the public holiday.

A Network Operations Center (NOC) is a centralized location where IT professionals monitor, manage, and maintain the performance and security of a company’s network infrastructure.

NOC staffing is essential for MSPs and MSSPs because it enables them to provide around-the-clock monitoring and management of their clients’ networks and security systems. This ensures that any issues are identified and addressed quickly, minimizing downtime and potential security breaches.

The key roles within a NOC typically include Network Engineers, Network Technicians, Security Analysts, and SOC Analysts. These professionals are responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network and security issues.

The qualifications and skills required for NOC staffing vary depending on the specific role. Generally, candidates should have a degree in computer science or a related field, as well as relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+. They should also have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Yes, Halexo provide a NOC staff augmentation solution. This can be a cost-effective option for MSPs and MSSPs, as it enables them to access the expertise and resources of a larger organization without having to hire additional in-house staff.

The number of NOC staff members needed for a typical MSP or MSSP depends on the size of the company and the number of clients they serve. Generally, a small MSP or MSSP may only need a few NOC staff members, while a larger one with an expansive customer base could require a whole NOC team. Halexo can advise on this.
